Prints are GONE!

PRINTS ARE GONE!
Thanks for all the interest!!

So, I was cleaning out my house trying to figure out what to do with these 5 huge boring Ikea frames I had from my graduation show, and had to figure out what to do with the prints inside of them. I felt terrible about throwing them out, and decided to give them away!

Anyhow, onto the prints, if anyone wants these, please let me know, theyre all 13x19 and FREE! I will ship them anywhere in the US for 10 dollars (just for shipping) First person to email me gets em! (Please, US only...int. shipping is a big pain in the buttz)

sshaoshao@gmail.com

I would post new artwork too, but we had our house fumigated, and I'm not yet set up for painting yet :( I'll be doing artz soon tho!!

Elsa picked up the prints, I checked out her blog! This gal is talented! Check her out!!

PecknPaw and the Black Mirror

Hi Folks!

Still working through some art stuff, but otherwise things are pretty good! Working on A Little Golden book for work, which has been stressful due to the pressure (Golden books are all so beautiful!!) But I'm so glad I got the oppertunity.

And here is another project I've been waiting to tell you guys about!

My friend Scott Watanabe approached me last year about doing an anthology for Comic con! I helped Assistant Edit the book with him.

Anyhoo, our whole book is all original artwork from 16 of the super talented visual development artists here at Disney! We've put together a blog, that will be used to talk a little about production of the book.

The awesome story guys who did Torch Tiger will be giving us our booth this year at comic con, so please, stop on by! Say hi, pick up a book! We'll be at 4819 XD

Couple of Things...

Two TOTALLY different styles of painting, the second is a study of Sargent's One of my faves since it seems so effortless!

Whenever I try to decide what kind of style I like to pursue, its sort of hard because I like to do so many things :P

Also! I'll be at APE this weekend! Not as an exhibitor, just a spectator, but if you see me feel free to say Hi!

Rites of Spring

Inspired by the Centaurs from the Original Fantasia....Working at Disney has it perks, I was looking around for old Freddie Moore drawings, and Just had to do a couple of pretty centaur girls! It was my fave short from the old Fantasia!

I've been messing around with watercolors, but I've mostly been doing it on the regular bond paper I use to draw on, but soon I think I will bring in a pad of arches to do it on real watercolor paper :P

Oh Gizmo...

Mike likes to joke that our Kitty's spend the day driving around in little cars running little errands...I think that Gizmo is more of a joy rider! so I did this little illustration. For a while I was thinking of doing a childrens book based on Gizmo and Gizmo's adventures, but for now this will do. It reminds me a little of the Richard Scarry aimals that I used to love as a kid too!

Hard and Soft

I posted prints of these two on My ETSY and thought that perhaps I should post them here as well :)

I got inspired when I was bored and started watching videos from this year's Spring shows on Style.com! It's always a sure fire way to get me to do art LOL

I've also started a little blog for my Doll obsession. As weird as it is, I thought maybe I could post a link to it here in case anyone was curious about my other weird hobbies. My boyfriend has had a little bit of a difficult time getting used to all of the dolls and doll parts hanging around the house HA.

Fruity Blythe Blog

It hasnt been updated in a while, but I'll be posting more pics of my custom dolls soon!

I also bought a wood burning kit from Micheal's the other day (If you search Google for Micheal's coupon, you'll find one for 50% off!!) I've got a couple ideas of cool stuff to do with it, but I'm a little afraid of the...hot burning...bit....lol. I'm excited to start, I just gotta get up that courage!

Drusilla

I just started watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer on Hulu and I have to say, I'm totally in love with this show! Some (okay, Most) of the characters can get annoying, but I love the bad guys! Esp. Drusilla and Spike.

Someone told me Spike gets all crappy later in the series but since I've only seen up to season 3, I have to say that he's probably my favorite!

Cloudy Days

A quick study of clouds, using brushes stolen from my super talented coworker, Jeff Turley! Still can't quite get the hang of the pen tilt angle jitter, but it looks cool! And a doodle from a meeting :)

It was a pretty exhausting weekend actually, I forgot to post on my blog that I would be at Anime Expo selling Prints and sketchbooks! It was great fun, I got to meet a lot of people and sell some goods, I think I will do it again next year!

Then on friday, Yuki 7 officially opened at Nucleus! Thanks to everyone who came by to show their support it was a really amazing show and Kevin did such a fantastic job with the character and the book!

Comic con is coming soon too O__O! I can't wait! It will be the first time I have had a hotel room since I was in high school. I hope to meet some awesome people, if anyone has a reccomendation of books to buy let me know :)

Yuki and Darkstalkers

I recently had a great opportunity to do some art for the awesomely talented Kevin Dart's Yuki 7 book!

Here's the peice I did, hopefully I will have a few more for the Nucleus show

I heard about Udon doing a Tribute book for Darkstalkers, and I felt like doing a piece, I never got around to finishing it, so I never sent it in. :P
