Having some fun doing an environment for myself! Working on projects is great, but sometimes you just need to do some personal art to remind yourself that art is fun! I've been doing a lot of modern stuff at work so I decided I wanted more fairy tale worlds in my life.

Ladies of Animation

Happy New Year!

A Happy 2013 to everyone! Some of my Christmas gifts were letterform books, it's my newest obsession! I decided to try playing with some hand done lettering as a little greeting for everyone.

I hope everyone's 2013 proves to be eventful! 

Star Kiss Sketch

When I do original art I like to do a quick photoshop sketch. Here's one for my newest painting that I'm working on during my lunch hours.

Lucy in the Sky

Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, I found this piece that was inspired by the Beatles for a Tribute show at Gallery Nucleus. I had a really great time painting this, but it was actually really hard for me to think of what to do for the theme. I had a lot of sketches for an "Octopus' Garden" painting, but I couldn't get it to work. I was rather pleased with this result.

I'll be having a couple of these as prints at CTN Expo which starts TOMORROW! Fri-Sunday of this week 11-16.  I'm so excited to talk to people!

I also just gave a few tours of our downstairs Art of Wreck it Ralph Gallery to a bunch of students who are here early for CTN Expo, it was great to share our studio with you guys!

I'm gonna WRECK IT!

Wreck it Ralph is out in Theaters everyone! I'm so proud to have been a tiny part of this project. There was a great team and I'm so pleased with how the movie turned out and the reception it has gotten so far!

Me and a few other artists are going to be doing a book signing and panel at gallery Nucleus on Friday!  5 Dollar Admission, there are 8 artists participating so come by and get your "Art of Wreck it Ralph" Books signed!

The Wolf and the Cat

A demo for our Vis dev class! Our class is retelling the story of Pinocchio, and this is my version of the Wolf and the Cat, My Retelling takes place in the Tibetan mountains and I used a Tibetan Mastiff and a arctic fox as the Wolf and Cat characters!

Comic Con Commissions!

After talking to some people, I expect to have a bit of free time while at comic con next week! I'll be taking 5 commissions to be done at my table at SDCC! They will be 100/piece 5.5x8.5, full color colored pencil . Here is an example of one below.

Announcing our new book!

Hey guys! Are you going to Comic con? Because we are! We're even debuting a new book there! Take a peek! The pages here are unbound because the version we're showing is actually our proof of the book. It's a collection of artwork that Mike and I have done over the past year or so, it's going to be very limited so we won't be selling them online, but they can be added as a part of your reward on our kickstarter.


Speaking of Comic Con, we're going to be attending for the first time as exhibitors. We're going to be in the Small Press Pavilion which is near Sideshow Collectibles and between entrances B1 & B2. We're going to have our new book, zoom zoos and our dwindling supply of Freckles. Plus we're going to have some great new prints. So please stop on by and see what we've been up to.
